DLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I downloaded the new uprising DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops 2, (yes, I am only supposed to do indie reviews, but this is more of a rant than a review) at 11 o'clock last night, and let me tell you.... IT WAS EXTREMELY mediocre. I can say it was way better than Revolution, but only two maps were decent, and well, I haven't really had the chance to play Mob of the Dead yet, so I won't rant on that, but only half the map pack was good!?!?!?!

Alright, first off, there's Magma......... The biggest letdown in Call of Duty history(in my opinion). I was really excited to see that there would be map functions besides opening doors, but the lava is SO FREAKING UNREALISTIC!!!! While I was playing, I could see a floating rock outside of the map, and I could tell that the magma is just an animated texture. You can fall out of the map, into the lava, and see that it is just a thin layer floating above solid ground. Not only that, there's a wall of magma that you can touch, with out dying! It is just a really bad map. UGHDFKJLSHDGLSGKJLH!!!!

Now, down to the other BAD map.

    Encore.

I'll just tell you now, if you want the map pack because of encore, save your money!!!! Encore is a rip-off!!! If you want an idea of what it is like, I'm pretty sure Treyarch was thinking "How about, we rip off left for dead 2's Concert level (if you've played l4d2 you know what I'm talking about) and make it look cooler. That way, the fans will love it!! But, in order to be boring, we must make sure the map is perfectly symmetrical, smaller than freaking Nuketown, and let's not forget to make it so that they can't go in the stands. no-one likes stands!!! Even if it does make good vantage points for snipers, and increase the size of the map, everyone will hate it if they can go into the stands!!!!"

   Treyarch logic everywhere, guys.

Ok, I'm no longer mad. Studio is brilliant. Vertigo, while not amazing, is a fun map that should result in some interesting matches. I really enjoyed playing on these two. Studio is an original take on the map Firing Range from Black Ops 1. It has the same exact layout, but with a Hollywood theme to it. Firing Range was my favorite map in the original, so I'm glad they remade it. Vertigo, is something of an interesting map. My favorite part is that it has automatic door fuctions, which means doors open for you, instead of having to press a button. This can be used in a very strategic manner, and yes, I'll admit, it can also get annoying when it comes to campers, but that's why there are plenty of flanks. Overall, Vertigo makes for some quite interesting domination matches.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have gotten the chance to play Mob of the Dead. All my friends hate it, but I find it the best map yet. First of all, I've gotta say that I love the cut scene at the beginning. Not only that, but the characters are original, the very idea of the map is very original. You play as one of four inmates at the brutally famous Alkatraz prison. Zombies have taken it over, and it's up to you to build a plane and escape ( I haven't actually achieved that yet, so I don't know what happens if you build the plane. NO SPOILERS). My favorite part is that they've added many new weapons, like a tommy gun, an Uzi, and a rumored AK-47. The only thing I find frustrating is the warden. He's basically a huge zombie that comes out of nowhere and sprints at you. I had juggernog, and I don't know if it was just a flaw or something, but he killed me in two hits!!! It's ridiculous! I'd really recommend you grab a partner to play this, otherwise the warden just becomes a problem. This is a great map, and I can say with confidence that it's worth your money.
